THE HOW TO CO. — EDITION 10
THE DETAIL
Elbow and knee at roughly ninety are the two everybody has heard of, and they follow almost automatically from getting the seat and desk heights right. The third is the neck, and it is the one that quietly does the damage — because a monitor sitting on the desk puts the top of the screen well below eye level and you spend six years looking gently downward.

FROM THE CURATOR
The most common mistake in this room is a monitor sitting on the desk at desk height and a person slowly craning down at it for six years. You cannot fix that with a better chair. You fix it with a stack of books under the monitor tonight and a proper arm at the weekend, and the difference in how your neck feels by Thursday is genuinely startling for something that cost nothing.
